At Oase, we are continually refining our vision of the ultimate African stay. Whether it's through immersive experiences like our moonlit, lights-out game drives that engage guests' senses of hearing and smell to intensify their connection with the African wilderness, or fly fishing along the pristine banks of the Blyde River, we strive to go beyond the typical safari. We want our guests to experience more than just a passive ride through the bush; we aim to deliver an authentic adventure that deepens their relationship with Africa’s natural beauty.
A core element of this is the culinary experience we offer. At Oase, we are always pushing the boundaries of African Bush Gastronomy, ensuring that dining is as much an adventure as the landscape. Our latest culinary venture, Kole (Afrikaans for "ember"), is an ode to the ancient practice of cooking over open flames. For millennia, fire has been at the heart of African cooking, and KOLE honors this tradition by elevating it to new heights.
Opening in November 2024, KOLE will introduce guests to a raw, elemental African dining experience centered around fire-cooked meals. Every dish showcases the intricate flavors of the continent, crafted from the freshest seasonal ingredients, many of which are sourced
directly from our own organic gardens. Our aim is to present a modern take on Africa's ancient culinary traditions, blending simplicity with sophistication.
KOLE will be open exclusively to Resident guests every day of the week. Additionally, we’ll welcome the public on Fridays for dinner, Saturdays for lunch and dinner, and Sundays for lunch. At Oase, dining becomes an unforgettable part of the African adventure, with fire as both the source of warmth and inspiration for every meal.
