Assistant FOH Manager
Support the FOH Manager, supervise the front of house team, manage check-ins and check-outs, assist with guest concerns and coordinate daily guest services.
We are looking for an organised, approachable Assistant Front of House Manager to support the FOH Manager in overseeing daily guest services. You will directly supervise the front of house team, coordinate assigned duties and help ensure guests receive attentive, professional service throughout their stay.
The role includes managing check-ins and check-outs, assisting with guest concerns and following through on guest requests. You will provide hands-on support during busy periods and carry out responsibilities delegated by the FOH Manager.
Responsibilities
Team supervision: Directly supervise the front of house team, allocate daily tasks and follow up to ensure duties are completed to the required standard.
Management support: Carry out duties assigned by the FOH Manager and keep them informed of operational matters, guest concerns and outstanding requests.
Check-ins and check-outs: Welcome arriving guests, explain lodge facilities and arrangements, and coordinate smooth, efficient departures.
Guest assistance: Respond to enquiries, assist with requests and help guests with arrangements throughout their stay.
Issue resolution: Assist in resolving guest concerns promptly and professionally, escalating matters to the FOH Manager when necessary.
Service standards: Monitor the team’s presentation, conduct and service delivery, providing guidance and addressing shortfalls.
Department coordination: Communicate guest requirements and confirmed arrangements to the kitchen, housekeeping, guides and other relevant teams.
Daily support and handovers: Assist with guest-related duties wherever needed and maintain clear handovers to ensure outstanding matters are followed through.

The ability to handle guest concerns calmly, use sound judgement and recognise when management support is needed.
A reliable, hands-on team player who takes initiative and follows through on assigned responsibilities.
