Leopard Tracking
leopard tracking is about the search as much as the sighting. With an experienced Oase guide, follow fresh tracks and read the subtle signs that reveal how a resident leopard has moved through its territory. Some mornings end with a leopard; others end with a much deeper understanding of the bush. Either way, you have taken part rather than simply watched from a vehicle. The experience rewards patience and quiet attention.
Kruger Shared Game Drive
Kruger deserves more than a quick drive before breakfast or another before dinner. Our shared safari gives you the full day to explore one of Africa's great wildernesses, searching for the Big 5 and everything around them without needing to rush back to the lodge. Breakfast and a leisurely picnic lunch travel with you, so the route can follow the day rather than the restaurant timetable.
Moonlight Game Drive
On selected nights around the full moon, the vehicle lights go off and your senses take over. As your eyes adjust, sounds become clearer, silhouettes emerge and the reserve feels completely different. It is deliberately quiet, unhurried and unlike a conventional spotlight drive.
Hot Air Balloon
A hot-air balloon flight trades the usual safari perspective for silence and height. As the sun comes up, the Lowveld opens beneath you — bush, rivers, farms and the distant Drakensberg all reading differently from the air. It is an early start, but one that earns it.
Treetop Sleepout
Five kilometres from the main lodge, the Treetop Sleepout gives you a night almost entirely to yourselves. Watch the sun disappear behind the mountains, eat in the open air and let the darkness settle without walls around you. With very little light pollution, the stars become part of the experience; by dawn, the reserve is waking below. It is one of those Oase experiences that only makes sense once you give it the time.

The journey from the UK to Oase is simpler than many couples expect, with a short domestic flight from Johannesburg to Hoedspruit Eastgate Airport and a brief transfer to the lodge.

Fly overnight from the UK to Johannesburg — South Africa is only an hour or two ahead of UK time.
Connect to Hoedspruit
A short domestic flight takes you to Hoedspruit Eastgate Airport (HDS), in the heart of the Lowveld.

Oase is about 10 km from the airport — a short drive, and your honeymoon has begun.

Planning Your Honeymoon
Yes. Oase is particularly well suited to honeymoons because privacy and flexibility are already built into the way the lodge works.
Couples can combine safari with private dining, spa treatments, the Treetop Sleepout, picnics, wine and gin experiences and, if desired, more elaborate experiences such as a helicopter outing. We can build the stay around the balance of adventure and downtime you want.
