Night Security Guard
We are looking for a vigilant and dependable Night Security Guard to help protect our guests, staff, wildlife and property. The role involves overnight patrols around the camp and in the surrounding bush.
We are looking for a vigilant and dependable Night Security Guard to protect our guests, staff, wildlife and property overnight. You will conduct regular patrols around the camp and in the surrounding bush, monitor access points and respond to security concerns. This role requires sound judgement, confidence working in the bush at night and responsible firearm handling.
Responsibilities
-Conduct regular night patrols around the camp, its perimeter and surrounding bush.
-Monitor access points and remain alert to unauthorised activity, security threats and signs of poaching.
-Respond promptly to incidents and emergencies, following established procedures.
-Maintain clear communication with management and the security team throughout the shift.
-Record patrols, observations and incidents accurately, and provide a thorough handover.
-Handle and store firearms responsibly, in accordance with applicable requirements and lodge procedures.
-Carry out duties discreetly and professionally, respecting guest privacy and comfort.
What we are looking for
-Valid PSIRA registration.
-Valid firearm competency certificates and relevant firearm handling training.
-Previous security experience, preferably in a lodge, reserve or remote bush environment.
-Willingness and ability to work overnight shifts, weekends and public holidays.
-Physical fitness and confidence conducting patrols on foot in the bush at night.
-Sound judgement, strong observation skills and a calm approach under pressure.
-Reliable communication skills and the ability to work independently.
